Operation Homefront gives Free Alfred Angelo wedding gowns to local military brides
Operation Homefront Family Services Director for the GA Chapter, Christina Anthony, has
announced that they would team with Weddings for Warriors to provide free Alfred Angelo
wedding gowns to brides who are participating in the Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2009 event. Alfred
Angelo is touted as being world’s leading maker of wedding gowns and recently donated
hundreds of gowns to Operation Homefront.
The Savannah Wedding Tourism Council of Savannah, Georgia recently launched the project
entitled Weddings for Warriors. The event will provide free wedding ceremonies and vow
renewals to active US Military personnel on November 11, 2009. Donated products and services
include photography, officiant, flowers, a group river-dinner cruise provided by Jonathan
Claughton at River Street Riverboat Company and much more. The only cost for participants is
for the purchase of their wedding licenses.
Members of the Savannah Wedding Tourism Council are joining with other businesses in the
wedding, hospitality and tourism industries in the Savannah area to create individual ceremonies
for each couple. The SWTC is composed of around thirty members from these mentioned
industries in the Savannah Area. Warriors across America are invited to participate in the event.
