					                                          SHBC Wedding Policies/Contract




Members & regular attendees of SHBC and persons with an association with a SHBC Pastor may use the SHBC
facility for a wedding upon approval of SHBC Pastor. A non-staff Pastor may officiate a member or regular attendee
wedding, with approval of SHBC Pastor. Pre-marital counseling & eligibility to be married, is at the discretion of the
officiating SHBC Pastor. The SHBC Wedding Facilitator (WF) will work in conjunction with the Pastor. No wedding
may be scheduled more than 12 months in advance.
To schedule a wedding at SHBC, the prospective bride or groom should call the church office.


The following are SHBC rules and must be followed at all times.
      Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the church or anywhere on the property.
      SHBC is a smoke-free & pet-free environment.
      Only birdseed may be thrown as the wedding couple exits the church building. No rice or confetti allowed.
      Wedding ceremonies must start no later than 1:30 pm.
      For weddings in the worship center, we request that all guests and personal belongings be removed by 3:30 pm.
       This will allow time for Saturday evening worship service.


The wedding party is responsible for:
      The setting up of all decorations, to include live plants in the worship center, and returning the same to their
       proper places upon completion of the ceremonies.
      Replace any equipment moved for wedding/reception, unless previous arrangements have been made.
      If anything is spilled or broken, please notify Building Manager, Marvin Rutter at 403-1819, as soon as
       possible.
      All wedding decorations, such as, dripless candles, flowers, aisle runner, etc. are the responsibility of the
       wedding party to put in place and remove. Candelabras are available from the WF.


Deposit & Fee Schedule


There is a $250 facility usage fee required for all SHBC weddings/receptions. The bride and groom are responsible for
the fees for the Pastor, Wedding Facilitator, Pianist and Audio/Visual Technician, and are payable at the time of the
rehearsal.
Officiating Pastor (mandatory) - Minimum $150.
Wedding Facilitator (mandatory) - $100
Pianist- $50. Wedding only.
Audio Technician- $75.
Video/Media Technician- $50.
Room Use fees:
 Worship Center- $250
 Fireside Room- $150
 Kitchen- $50


The use and clean up of the kitchen area (s) is the responsibility of the catering service or the wedding party.
The church will clean and maintain sidewalks and parking lots as needed.
Consumable supplies are the responsibility of the wedding party, ie: plates, cup, napkins, etc.
The wedding party is accountable for any equipment damaged by the wedding party and will be assessed appropriate
charges for replacement of damaged equipment.
SHBC is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property; or any injuries that occur on the property.
Please notify the church at least two weeks in advance, in the event of a cancellation.
