Ice Skating Opens Downtown at Red Arrow Park Dec. 7th
       Area Sport Mascots to Assist in Ribbon Cutting at 5
(Milwaukee, WI) - Red Arrow Park’s Slice of Ice rink, 920 N. Water Street, is
scheduled to open this year from 5pm to 11pm on Friday, December 7th. Skaters
may use the rink for free if they bring their own skates. Opening day will be
highlighted with a skating recital performed by the Greater Milwaukee Figure
Skating club at 4pm and an opening ceremony at 5pm.

Area sport mascots will be on hand to assist Executive Scott Walker with the ribbon
cutting. The Milwaukee Brewers Racing Sausages, Roscoe from the Milwaukee
Admirals, Brad Beach from Milwaukee Wave, Pounce from UW Milwaukee
athletics, The Golden Eagle from Marquette University will all be available for
autographs and fun until 5:30 pm.

Ice skates may be rented throughout the season at $5.50 per pair. Ice skates can be
sharpened at the rink, as well. Open hours are Monday through Thursday 2pm until
8pm; Friday and Saturday 11am until 11pm and Sunday noon until 6pm.

Half off the rental price for non-profit groups of 12 skaters or more is available. A
warming house complete with a Starbucks café providing hot snacks and beverages
provides a convenient place to take a break or watch the skaters. For information
