Configuring Fuqua HTML Signature in Mail
Required Software: Mac OS X (10.4-10.6+, Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard), Safari 2.0+, Microsoft Word 2008

Please only use Safari for this process instead of different web browser.

    1) Below you will see different email signatures. Find the signature that pertains to you and click on the
       link to direct you to an HTML version of the signature. If the link does not open up in Safari, please
       copy the address into the Safari address bar and proceed from there.



         Standard Email Signature:




         Joint Degree Email Signature:




         HSM Email Signature:



         Students with Fax Number Email
         Signature:



* If the other program in your joint degree has a signature they’ve asked you to use and you’d prefer to use that one,
please feel free to make that decision.

    2) When the signature page opens, save the signature as an html file to your desktop by pressing
         Command+S or selecting Save As from the File menu, naming the file “signature” and choosing “page
         source” under the format drop-down box.




    3) Ctrl+click the signature file and open with Microsoft Word.




    4) Edit the information to reflect your own and save the file by pressing Command+S or
       selecting Save from the File menu and quit Microsoft Word.
    5) Open the signature file to in Safari and save the file as a Web Archive from the File
       menu; changing the name to “signature” and the format to “Web Archive”.

    6) Open Mail and type Command+, or go to Preferences under the Mail menu. Click on the
       Signatures tab.




    7) Click the plus sign under the center column, type “Fuqua Signature” as the name and
       make sure something is in the right hand column. Drag the “Fuqua Signature” from the
       middle column over the “Duke Exchange” account in the left hand column and quit Mail.

    8) In the Finder, navigate to the ~/Library/Mail/Signatures directory. ( ~/ is the symbol for
       the user’s home directory on the Mac)




    9) Highlight the name of the file with random numbers and letters in its name and copy it
       using by pressing Command+C.




   10) Highlight the “signature” web archive file on the desktop and replace the text with that
      from the clipboard using Command+V or Paste from the Edit menu.

   11) Drag this newly renamed web archive into the ~/Library/Mail/Signatures folder
      replacing the one that is already in there.




   12) Launch mail and create a new message. Use the “Signatures” drop-down menu on the
      right hand side of the message window to select your Fuqua signature.
