ARTISTS APPLICATIONS FOR „ART ON THE WABASH‟ DUE JULY 15 West Lafayette, Ind. – June 30, 2006 – Friday, July 14, is the deadline for area artists‟ applications for the first annual “Art on the Wabash, A Local Artists‟ Fair” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., September 24 at Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette. The art fair is open to any artist aged 18 or older residing in a 14-county area that includes Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren and White counties. Artwork must be original fine art, not crafts, and created in the last five years. It should be of high quality and available for purchase, said Art on the Wabash committee member Beverly Shaw. Guidelines and entry forms are available from the City of West Lafayette, 609 W. Navajo St., West Lafayette, 47906, or may be downloaded from the city‟s website, www.city.west-lafayette.in.us. They‟re also available at Tippecanoe Arts Federation, 638 North St., Lafayette, 47901, and its website, www.tippecanoearts.org. The entry fee is $15. For artists accepted, booth rental for the fair will be $25. Fair entrants will be selected by juror David Kwasigroh, director of exhibitions at the Indianapolis Art Center.
