A one-year lease extension has been executed and will expire on 1/31/2012. Market research conducted on
9/29/2010 did not find an existing property to meet the requirement; however, vacant land was found on which a
modular building could be placed. An Industry Day meeting was held on 10/28/2010 with individuals of interest
forwarding documentation by 11/5/2010. Received only two responses, one being unacceptable. Contracting
staff in the process of obtaining more spaces/land to solicit. Due date for interested offerors has been extended
to November 20, 2010. NMVAHCS made internal space moves within existing clinic on 11/17/10 to increase
availability of exam space and group room space; making moves today. This takes the pressure off the PTSD
group meeting room and clinic waiting area, and in an interim measure, provides adequate space for Veterans to
wait in existing clinic. RFQ for approximately 800 square foot modular building to be placed behind CBOC was
placed on GSA eBuy on November 24, 2010 with a closing date of December 17, 2010 to meet additional space
requirement on a temporary basis. Anticipating award of modular lease on December 22, 2010 as long as
acceptable offers are received. Anticipate 45 calendar days for site prep and installation from date of award. Vet
Center van has been moved behind the Raton CBOC, and is anticipated to remain there until modular building
site prep begins. 2 offers were received for the modular building on December 17, 2010 and have been
evaluated. The proposed time frame for completion provided by the selected vendor is 70 calendar days (60-90
days is the industry standard). Contracting will work with vendor to attempt to negotiate a quicker timeframe if
possible. Lessor has signed SLA #7, and will provide installation of electrical for mobile Vet Center Van and rent
space behind CBOC. Lessor has offered another potential location for the mobile Vet Center Van during site
preparation of the modular unit. An RFQ will be submitted once confirmation is received that the proposed site is
acceptable. The market survey for the new CBOC was conducted on 12/7/2010. Four properties were surveyed.
Two of the four properties were found to be able to meet the Governement requirement. The SFO review was
completed by the station on 12/23/2010 with no comments/corrections. The SFO was issued on 1/14/2011. The
Pre-bid conference is scheduled for 1/20/2011 to be held at the Raton City Hall. Contracting is waiting for a
procurement request package from engineering, which was due 1/14/11, to proceed with procuring the
temporary mobile office to provide interium coverage until the activation of the modular building. The SFO and
