The Lakes Region’s newest dive shop is now open at 25 Daniel Webster Highway in
Meredith. Located halfway between the Meredith docks and Weirs Beach, Central NH
Divers is located at Production Trailer and Dock. Owner, Howard Richards acquired the
dive shop to compliment his dock business. According to Richards, “ being in the water
everyday with dock and mooring installations, it seemed like a natural fit”. Central NH
Divers gives him the opportunity to offer expanded services to customers.

Central NH Divers would like to invite the public to their grand opening on Saturday
June 26th from 10 – 2. The dive instructors will be on hand for questions, tips, and will
give demonstrations to folks that would like to try on some gear and participate in a
“discovery” dive in the pool nearby. The Meredith Boy Scouts will be serving hot dogs
and refreshments and 101.5 THE HAWK will be broadcasting live from 11 – 1. There
will be lots of giveaways, including a free dive class! Come meet “ZIP-IT” the mascot of
the NH Boating Education Program. The folks from Boating Education will be on hand
as well. Make sure you also check out the campers, trailers, docks and lifts on display.

Central NH Divers Philosophy is based upon Safety, Honesty, and Fun. They offer
classes at many levels, from basic certification, to Advanced and Master Divers. The
instructors, Divemasters Mike and Jay along with instructors Gary, Tom, and Jamie all
have countless hours of training and a wealth of knowledge and experience in all facets
of diving. Classes are offered two ways. Traditional and E learning. Traditional classes
usually involve four evenings and one weekend of classroom, pool, and open water dives.
The new E learning allows students to use their computers for much of the classroom
learning. There are also Executive classes offered for one or two students that might have
scheduling conflicts. Central NH Divers also offers tank fills, testing, and gear sales and
rentals.

Underwater diving opens up a whole new world. It can be done in lakes, ponds, rivers,
and of course, the ocean. There are a plethora of things to do underwater, photography,
metal detecting, finding wrecks, or just watching a fish swim by. This summer Central
NH Divers has teamed up with Dive Winnipesaukee to offer boat dives Wednesday
evenings and on weekends leaving from the Glendale Docks. Check out schedules on
line at www.centralnhdivers.com, or call 528-2330.
