What is a Creditor?

Simply put a Creditor is any company or service provider who has
extended you credit for their service or product. This will include
companies like AT&T, PG&E, Macy’s, Sears, Home-Depot, and Bank of
America. A Creditor can also include a large or small auto dealership, a
local jeweler, mortgage company, T-Mobile, credit union, or Sprint
Cellular. A creditor will report your payment activity, and history to one
or all of the 3-Credit Reporting Agencies.
