c. The same search strategies can be used as described above for books. However, these databases may or may not use the same Subject Headings as infoLINK. However, the techniques and steps are the same. d. Some of these databases will have full-text articles. Most will also have the “link-to-fulltext” feature . This software programs links the Libraries’ databases together. It will : i. Direct you to another database that does the full-text of the item. ii. Allow you to search infoLINK for the item. (Remember to search the title of the journal, not the article title!) iii. Allow you to submit an interlibrary loan request for the item. e. Cross-Searching in metaLINK i. It is possible to search multiple databases at one time using the “Cross Search” feature in metaLINK. Not all databases, however, can be searched this way. The “Cross Search” feature will only display databases that have this capability. ii. There are two different ways of using “Cross Search” 1. Without Signing In => Choose Databases : Subject . Any set you create will be saved only for the duration of the current session. 2. Signing In allows you to save your database sets. a. Click on “My Account” => “My Databases” b. Click on “Find Databases” => Choose a Subject Category c. Click on the to add databases to “My Databases” d. Click on “My Databases” e. Click on to move database into Temporary Set f. Click on and give Set a name and then Save g. When you now click on “Cross Search” your Database Set will be available to search. f. Other Functions in metaLINK. i. Find e-journal
