SUBJECT: Provider Workshops – 2012
The Divisions of Medical Services and Aging and Adult Services have begun provider
workshops scheduled for 2012. The first Assisted Living Waiver workshop was held on March 1st.
Two workshops per program are tentatively scheduled during 2012. The divisions suggest each
waiver provider attend at least one workshop applicable to the services you provide. It is advised
that both workshops scheduled for your provider type be attended. Provider representation will be
monitored, and Certificates of Attendance will be available at the end of each workshop.
Staff responsible for providing direct services, billing, compliance with Medicaid policy and
procedures and any other interested party should attend. Each workshop will include information

procedures financial and medical
Quality Assurance requirements Billing procedures
Waiver provider certification
Invitations will be sent prior to each workshop giving registration instructions. Please mark your
calendars when your invitation arrives. These workshops are for the benefit of every provider and
will provide valuable information regarding compliance with Medicaid regulations. Workshop content
has been based on input from the provider community and issues submitted through the audit
process and from the Medicaid Program Integrity Unit.
