RE: Kent Association of Training Organisations (KATO)
I am writing to inform you that I will be standing down from the Chairman post with KATO as I
have recently secured new employment in Hertfordshire, which will not enable me to carry out
my KATO duties or be as heavily involved with Kent & Medway as I have been previously. I am
currently in my fourth term as KATO Chairman and have very much enjoyed the hard work and
the vast achievements. Thank you for your support and commitment throughout this time.
KATO is an extremely strong network with established links with funding and external agencies
which I know will continue in the future. The chief officers have been reviewing how KATO
should be developed and have agreed that due to the growth of the organisation and to
recognise her achievements, Lindsay will be promoted to Director of Operations for KATO.
During the interim period, Sonia McCluskey, Vice Chair has provisionally agreed to act as Chair
until the AGM in April.
Again, many thanks to all of you for the opportunity with KATO; for your support, energy, time
and efforts to build KATO into a strong organisation. KATO has been instrumental in putting
Apprenticeships on the map and working effectively in partnership for the benefit of employers
and learners throughout Kent and Medway.
