         ُّ‫فَل أُقسِ م بموقِع الن‬
     ‫َ َ ْ ُ ِ َ َ ِ جوم‬
     ِ ُ
                 َ ْ َ ْ َ ٌ َ َ َ ُ َّ َ
 ‫وإِنه لقسم لو تعلمونَ عظِ يم‬
 ٌ َ           ُ
So, I swear by the setting of the Stars,
    And that is indeed a great oath,
           if you but know.

     Surat Al-Waqi’ah (56:75-76)

        the Sun and the Earth
          is approximately

       150 million km
              or
       93 million miles

      َّ‫والسماء بن ْينها بأ َ ْييد وإِن‬
     ‫َ َّ َ َ َ َ َ َ ِ ٍ َ ا‬
                        ُ َُ
                     َ‫لموسِ عون‬
  With power and skill did We construct
the heaven. Verily, We are able to extend
     the vastness of space thereof.

        Surat al-Dhariyat (51:47)

A new star forming out of a cloud of gas and dust (nebula),
 which is one of the remnants of the ‘smoke’ that was the
               origin of the whole universe.            7
    ‫أَولم ير الذينَ كفروا أَنَّ السموت‬
    ِ َ َ َّ        ُ َ َ ِ َّ َ َ ْ َ َ
 ََْ َ َ َ ُ َْ ََ َ ً ْ َ ََ َ َ ْ ْ َ
‫واْلَرض كانتا رتقا ففتقناهما وجعلنا‬
  َ‫منْ الماء كل َّ شيء حى أَفَل يؤمنون‬
      ُ ِ ُْ ََ َ ٍ ْ َ ُ ِ َ ْ ِ
  Have not those who disbelieve known that the
heavens and the earth were joined together as one
       united piece, then we parted them?
   And We made from water every living thing.
           Will they not then believe?

             Surat al-Anbiya (21:30)

 َ    َ َ َ َ َ ِ َ َّ              َ
   ‫ثم استوى إِلى السماء وهِي دُخانٌ فقال‬  َ َ ْ َّ ُ
   ‫لها ول ِْْلَرض ِا ْئتيا طوعا أَو كرهًا قالتا‬
    ََ َ ْ َ ْ ً ْ َ َِ               ِ ْ َ َ َ
                   َ‫أَت ْينا طائعين‬
                      ِِ َ َ َ
Then He rose over (Istawa) towards the heaven
 when it was smoke, and said to it and to the
     earth: “Come together, willingly or
    unwillingly.” They said: “We do come
          (together), in obedience.”

            Surat al-Fussilat (41:11)

    ِّ ِ ِّ ِّ َ َ َ َ َّ
      ‫يوم نطوي السماء كطي السجل‬       ِ ْ َ َ َْ
           ُ ُ ٍ ْ َ َّ َ ْ َ َ َ ِ ُ ُ
‫ل ِْلكتب كما بدَ أنا أَول َ خلق نعِيدهُ وعدًا‬
   ْ َ
                      َ َّ ُ َّ َ َ َ
             َ‫عل ْينا إِنا كنا فاعِ لِين‬
The Day that We shall roll up the heavens like a
 scroll rolled up for books. We began the first
creation, We shall repeat it. It is a promise We
   have undertaken: Truly shall We fulfill it.

           Surat al-Anbiya (21:104)

       ِ ْ ْ َ َ ُ ْ ْ َّ َ ُ َ ْ َ
     ‫يوم تبدل ُ اْلرض غ ْير اْلرض‬
     َ ْ ِ ِ َ ْ ِ َّ ِ ُ َ َ َ ُ َ َ َّ َ
‫والسموت وبرزوا ّلِل الوحد القهار‬
ِ َّ
  One day the earth will be changed to a
different earth, and so will be the heavens,
and (men) will be marshalled forth, before
       Allah, the One, the Irresistible.

           Surat Ibrahim (14:48)

 ٌ   َ‫وأَ ْنزلنا الحديدَ فِيه بأْس ش‬
 ‫ِ َ ٌ دِيد‬          ِ َ ْ َْ َ َ
             َّ ُ َ َ َ
         ‫ومنفِع لِلناس‬
         ِ
 And We brought forth iron wherein is
mighty power, as well as many benefits
           for mankind,…

        Surat al-Hadid (57:25)

   ‫َ ْ ْ َ َ ْ َ دَ حها‬

                    ْ‫أَخرج من‬
‫ْ َ َ ِ ها ماءهَا ومرعها‬
 َ َ َْ َ َ َ َ
 And after that He spread the earth,
And brought forth therefrom its water
          and its pasture.

     Surat an-Nazi'at (79:30-31)
