The Elks Hoop Shoot Competition held in
Noblesville is part of the Elks National Free Throw
Hoop Shoot Contest. It is for all boys and girls
ages 8 thru 13 years of age.
The Elks “Hoop Shoot” Free Throw Contest is the largest activity sponsored by Elks Lodges.
Over 3,000,000 boys and girls ages 8-13 will participate this year, and we want you to
compete! Six national Champions are named – one boy and one girl in each of three categories:
ages 8-9; 10-11 and 12-13. The national winners each receive a trophy and their names are
inscribed on a plaque at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield,
Massachusetts. But first you have to be the Noblesville Elks Lodge champion! Guerin Catholic
High School is again hosting the event. Winners advance to the District Contest on Sunday,
                                   January 23rd in Rockville.
Contestant age groups are determined by their ages as of April 1, 2011. Participants who
shoot in the wrong age category will be disqualified.

25 free throws will be shot to determine the winner
Ties will be broken by taking five additional shots.
