EXPERIENCE - "Experience " is intended primarily to recognize length of service with Forsyth County Schools, and is not intended to be equivalent with other non-school employers -- even in generally
comparable jobs. Initial placement above the first step ("0") is limited to situations defined by administrative procedures. Generally, these situations include: 1) Comparable service in educational
institutions; and 2) situations where unique or highly specialized skills are required. Employment outside FCS that meets these basic criteria will be evaluated for credit purposes upon receipt of written
verification by a former employer that provides a detailed description of essential duties performed by the employee, dates of employment and other information that may be required for evaluation by FCS.
Total credit for prior experience is subject to limitations and may be granted fully, partially, or not at all.
