Current Fire Situation: Fire behavior remains active under current weather conditions. The Miners Fire continues to
burn northeast toward the Eagle Fire and southeast toward the fireline in Bear Creek. The Lime Fire continues to move
south toward Hidden Valley Ranch and east towards Friend Mt. The Vinegar Fire and Yellow Fires continue to burn
towards each other and the Yellow Fire is moving northwest toward Six Rivers National Forest. Air tankers, including the
Martin Mars water scooper, were used along this edge of the Yellow Fire. Forecasted winds out of the west are expected
to clear smoke from many of the communities on Tuesday. The Southwest Incident Management Team (IMT) #2
assumed command of the fire at 7:00 am today.
Today’s Objectives: Protection of communities, private lands, and infrastructure including roads, utilities and
communication towers continues throughout the Lime Complex. Miners Fire: Fireline construction has been nearly
completed from Hayfork Bally to Hyampom Road. Coordination continues with the Iron Complex to connect fireline
between Miners and Eagle Fire. Lime Fire: Firefighters will work to contain hotspots on the east side, establish
containment lines, and protect structures near Friend Mountain. Work continues to complete containment lines along
forest road 1N11 to stop the southern spread toward Hidden Valley Ranch. Yellow Fire: With active northwestern
spread, firefighters will work to establish containment line along forest road 50 to prevent spread to the west out of the
wilderness. Suppression efforts on the south edge where small spot fires occurred along the fireline. Vinegar Fire: With
the northern perimeter controlled work continues on the east flank to prevent spread out of the wilderness.
