Ensure a Stress-free Vacation with these Travel Safety
                            Tips

Enjoying a stress-free vacation is easier than you might think. Whether you’re
visiting Florida or taking a Caribbean cruise, here are a few suggestions to help
make sure you enjoy your next trip.

“Travel insurance can protect against emergencies or unforeseen events,” said
Stan Seggie, president and CEO of RBC Travel Insurance Company. “But
travellers can also reduce the likelihood of these events by making sure they’re
prepared before leaving home.”

 Arrive at the airport two hours before your flight to allow time for delays.
Rushing will only cause more stress on your holiday.

 Confirm your flight before heading to the airport to ensure it’s on time and
      there have been no changes.

 Provide family and friends with a copy of your itinerary. It will reduce their
worries and provide assistance if you get lost or delayed.

 Government health plans provide limited coverage outside your home
province so don’t forget to purchase additional travel health insurance before
      leaving.

 Research the safety of your intended destination with Foreign Affairs and
      International Trade at www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca.

 Keep a photocopy of your passport and all other important documents in a
safe place that is separate from the originals.

 Use ATMs in public and well-lit areas. Try to rely on credit cards over cash.
