Thank you for your interest in the position of Head of House at Raynes Park High School. I believe this
is an exciting opportunity to become a leader in our strong pastoral system as we enhance it further by
moving to a vertically led, house based system in September 2012. You will be leading a House within a
school with a strong ethos and cohesive team.
To move to a house based system is an exciting development for the school and designed to further
enhance student learning, achievement and support. We are looking for an outstanding candidate with
the ability to inspire, lead and challenge students and staff to the best possible outcomes. Further

Raynes Park High School is a vibrant mixed school for students aged 11-19 years old with a specialism
in Technology. We hold the highest expectations of ourselves, challenging and supporting our students
to reach their full potential with integrity. Everything that we do along with each decision we make is
centred upon the students’ learning and achievement as we seek to enable every student to meet and
exceed their potential. This is in all aspects of their school experience – whether it is in their academic
study in the classroom, performance in the creative arts or (out) in the sporting arena.

confident, articulate and aspirational young adults. We are excited about how we will develop over the

Anniversary. We are very proud of our reputation as a friendly and inclusive school which challenges its
staff and students to work hard to achieve their potential and to contribute to the local and wider
community. Our Learning Development Department for SEND students and our Access Centre for
students on the autistic spectrum are an integral part of the school and we successfully introduced a
sixth form in September 2010 which attained excellent results in its first year.

to meet these priorities we are looking for an ambitious leader with enthusiasm and drive together with
the ability to plan strategically and deliver results. You will be part of a very hardworking, supportive
and committed team of senior and middle leaders, staff and governors.
