(Grand Rapids, MI) – Whether you're drawn to the fluffy baby chicks in the Petting Zoo, or the
12 foot yellow anaconda "Sunshine" in the Reptile & Amphibian exhibit, the West Michigan Pet
Expo has something for everybody. This year's Pet Expo will feature a large Reptile and
Amphibian Exhibit presented by the Michigan Society of Herpetologists, where guests can take
pictures with exotic reptiles and amphibians. For the more delicate attendee, the Expo offers
bunnies, ducks, sugar gliders, baby goats, ferrets, and baby chicks (and of course puppies and
kittens!)

Also throughout the 2011 West Michigan Pet Expo, attendees can enjoy educational seminars.
Titles include "Welcoming Home a New Pet," "Getting Your Pet Baby-Ready," "Dog-Bite
Prevention," "Pet First Aid & CPR," and many more. With thousands of pet products and hours
of animal education, the 2011 West Michigan Pet Expo is a one-stop shop for any pet lover.

The West Michigan Pet Expo will be Saturday, April 2nd from 10am to 7pm and Sunday, April
3rd from 11am to 5pm at the Deltaplex Arena, 2500 Turner Avenue in Grand Rapids,
Michigan. General admission is $6 and $4 for children 12 and under. Children 5 and under are
admitted free of charge. A $2 per ticket discount is available to those who sign up for a Preferred
Pet Club membership at any Pet Supplies Plus store.

hard to bring in some amazing entertainment and still keep the price reasonable, so everyone in
the family can attend ”

The West Michigan Pet Expo will keep you laughing with the comedy show Mutts Gone Nuts ,
and will have you in awe with nationally recognized Lou Mack and JUMP! The Ultimate Dog
Show. Get a taste of your own backyard with Blandford Nature Center's "Wild Animals"
show, where you can get up close and personal with animals native to Michigan.
Various West Michigan animal shelters will offer on-site adoption for families looking to
provide a forever home to a new pet.
