OLD DOMINION ELECTRIC CO-OP DONATES FUNDS
TO HELP BUILD NEW GORDONSVILLE LIBRARY BRANCH
Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC) has presented the Orange County Library
Foundation with a $10,000 donation to assist in the Foundation’s effort to build a new branch
library in the Town of Gordonsville.
ODEC, a Glen Allen, Va.-based not-for-profit generation and transmission cooperative which
supplies wholesale power to 12 member electric distribution cooperatives in Virginia, Maryland
and Delaware, owns and operates the Louisa Power Station near Gordonsville.
“The generosity of Old Dominion Electric Cooperative is greatly appreciated. Our Foundation is
now very close to achieving our goal of raising $300,000 to complete the Gordonsville Branch
Library and their $10,000 donation have been a major help in our reaching this goal,” said Bryan
Hargett, a member of the Orange County Library Foundation who is spearheading the
fundraising efforts.
“When completed, the new Gordonsville Branch Library will be a beautiful addition to the
downtown historic district and provide a resource for families, business people and community
groups in Gordonsville and the surrounding area which will benefit everyone,” Hargett added.
“ODEC is pleased to have the opportunity to assist in helping to make the new Gordonsville
Branch Library a reality,” said Floyd Lively, manager of ODEC’s Louisa Power Station. “The

Fauquier County, 50 percent interest in a power station in Cecil County, Md. and the Clover
Power Station in Halifax County, a., and 11.6 percent interest in the North Anna Nuclear
Generation Facility in Louisa County, Va. For more information, visit www.odec.com
