                            SPECIAL TOURNAMENT INSTRUCTIONS

   1. ALL TEAMS MUST GO THRU DCI FOR ROOMS. TEAMS THAT BOOK ON THEIR OWN
      WILL BE CHARGED $500.00. CONTACT DEBORAH LEROY @ 469-441-8198 CELL OR 972-
      335-7572 OFFICE OR Deborah_leroy@dcigroups.com. The use of DCI is not optional and fines
      will be collected before a team is allowed play in Nationals. Hotels that are not on the approved
      list must not be used. Pony is using this service in order to keep the cost of the Tournament the
      same as it has been in previous years. Last year we would not have been success without this
      system. You cannot book rooms until you have qualified thru your region and paid the gate fee.

  2. ANY DISABILITY ISSUES MUST BE ADDRESSED TO PONY AT LEAST ONE WEEK
     PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTLY TO DAN VAUGHAN.
  3. BRACKETS WILL BE POSTED 7 DAYS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT BEGINS—ANY
     ISSUES OR CHANGE REQUESTS MUST BE PRESENTED WITH IN 48 HOURS IN ORDER
     TO BE ACTED ON.
  4. ALL TEAMS MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY JULY 15TH OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
     TO PLAY. TEAMS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO PAY IN FULL AT THE TIME THEY
     QUALIFY. PAYMENT TO BE MADE DIRECTLY TO REGION DIRECTOR. NO REFUNDS
     AFTER JULY 15TH.
  5. TEAMS WILL PLAY 3 POOL GAMES ON TUES. THRU THURS OR FRI. CHAMPIONSHIP
     BRACKETS WILL BE PLAYED FRI. AND SAT.
  6. CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKETS FOR THE DOUBLE ELIMINATION WILL BE COMPLETED
     AFTER ALL POOL PLAY IS COMPLETED FOR THAT AGE GROUP. ALL TEAMS WILL
     ADVANCE TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKETS.
  7. TEAMS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING SOMETHING TO EXCHANGE WITH THE
     OPPOSING TEAM AT THE FIRST GAME OF POOL PLAY. PLAYERS ARE
     ENCOURAGED TO BRING PINS TO SWAP DURING THE TOURNAMENT.
  8. HOME TEAMS MUST FURNISH THE SCORE KEEPER. IF ONE IS NOT AVAILABLE THE
     TEAM WILL BE DESIGNATED “VISITING” TEAM WITH THE OPPONENT RECEIVING
     “HOME” PRIVILEGES.

                                     PRE-TOURNAMENT MEETING:

         Location: Casa Amistah

         Time: Coaches at 1:00 PM Check-in immediately After Coaches
         Meeting. Umpires will meet at 2:30 PM.

All birth certificates, medical release forms and eligibility affidavit will be checked at this meeting.

                                             SPECIAL EVENTS:

Opening Parade July 26, 2009

Teams need to form at Schlitterbahn Beach Water park, 33261 State Park Rd 100,

information.

All teams need to be in uniform.
                                                     AWARDS

Individual Trophies will be awarded for 1st thru 4th place in all brackets with 9 or more teams.
Brackets with less than 9 teams will receive individual awards for 1st and 2nd.

Championship and runner up pins will be awarded each player and coach on the 1 st and 2nd place teams.

Championship Flag will be awarded to winner.

All participates will receive a participation pin.

                                        Additional Information:
   (1)     No Pets allowed at the Field Complex
   (2)       The Host     will provide water in dugouts so no coolers allowed except for cool towels.
   (3)     NO GATE THIS YEAR: A TEAM FEE OF $450.00-DUE AT TIME OF ACCEPTANCE OF
           BERTH. CASH, MONEY ORDER OR CASHIER CHECK ONLY. MAKE PAYABLE TO:
           RGV PONY.
   (4)     All Games 1 hr. 20 min. Mustang and above except Championship Game Only No Time
           Limit. Shetland and Pinto all Games 1 hr. except Championship Game.
   (5)      5 Game Guarantee.
   (6)     Most fields have grass infields.
   (7)     Brackets will be posted on www.pony.org by July20th 8 PM.
