I would like to make you aware of the arrangements for the Contribution
Reward Scheme that will take effect from 1 January 2012.
The scheme includes two categories of award1:
1. Contribution Increment(s)
This applies to academic-related and assistant staff whose current grade is
within the range 1–11, and who have not yet reached the maximum
contribution point for their grade. They must have been in post and performing
their duties at their current grade for at least a year prior to 1 January 2012.
2. Single Contribution Payment
This applies to academic-related and assistant staff whose grade is within the
range 1-11 and who have been in post and performing their duties at their
current grade for at least 3 months prior to 1 January 2012. Applications can
be made by staff at any scale point, including the top contribution point.
If you specifically wish your own case to be considered please complete Part
1 of either PD/30a (Proposal for Contribution Increments) or PD/30b
(Proposal for Single Contribution Payment) and send the completed form to
your line manager by <INSERT DATE>.
The Guidance and PD/30a and PD/30b forms are available on the HR
Division website: (www.admin.cam.ac.uk/offices/hr/policy/contribution/). If you
do not have access to the website, you may request a printed version of the
scheme or the forms from your Institution’s administrative office.

Human Resources for further information or advice.
