Peter Vega has 15 years of experience in several phases of transportation
including planning, design, construction, maintenance, operations, intelligent
transportation systems and administration.

Relevant intelligent transportation system project experience includes the following:

*     Plan, Design, Construction and Operations of multiple phases of a freeway
      management system along Interstate I-95, I-10 and I-295 in Jacksonville, FL,
      between 2002 and 2008. This included privatization of the maintenance and
      operations of the Traffic Management Center.
*     Design, implementation and operations of a “511” motorists information service
      covering all major roads in Northeast Florida Region.
*     Assist in the design, construction and operations of a real time traffic network
      covering 150 centerline miles of major arterials in Northeast Florida beginning
      operations in 2009.
*     Oversee staff that assist in the design and construction of numerous traffic signal
      systems throughout Northeast Florida between 2004 and 2008.
*     Coordinator of the Northeast Florida ITS Coalition in 2005. This group of 40
      public and private agencies coordinates all ITS activities in Northeast Florida and
      facilitates joint project activities such as sharing of fiber optic communications.
*     Florida Department of Transportation, District 2, FL - District Two ITS Engineer
      responsible for all ITS activities for the eighteen-county Northeast Florida District.
      Responsible for a deployment budget of over 50 million dollars and an annual
      maintenance/operations budget of nearly 2 million dollars.

*     Florida Department of Transportation, Central Office– State Highway Sign and
      Structure Engineer handling the manufacturing of products deployed in the field
      by maintenance forces. Responsible for a budget of 3 million dollars per year.

      a budget of 3 million dollars per year.

Prior to the Florida Department of Transportation, Pete’s experience included the
*     Dowell-Schlumberger (Division of DOW Chemical) – Assistant Manager of field
      engineering staff that would troubleshoot problems in manufacturing facilities
      throughout the Southeast United States.
