Cast members of TV’s Dancing with the Stars come together to
benefit Covenant Hospice
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Fred Astaire Dance Studio owners Michael and Dena Dill present a
star-studded evening of dance featuring local celebrities and cast members of ABC’s hit
television series Dancing with the Stars.
The inaugural Life’s a Dance benefiting Covenant Hospice will take center stage from 7 to 9
p.m. on Wednesday, June 13 at Turner Auditorium located at 444 Appleyard Drive on the
campus of Tallahassee Community College. Dr. Jim Murdaugh, President of Tallahassee
Community College will emcee the festivities and Curtis Richardson, Covenant Hospice Board
member, will serve as host. Don’t miss this stellar showcase by award-winning professionals
Tony Dovolani and Karina Smirnoff!
Performing a variety of dances from the tango to the two-step, studio instructors will partner with
local celebrities including Abbey Phillips, morning anchor for ABC-27 News at Sunrise and
News at Noon, weekdays; Allison Tant Richard, philanthropist, advocate for child
disability/exceptional student education and Northwest Florida Finance Chair for the Obama re-
election campaign; Jane A. Marks, M.A., LMFT, LMHC, a practicing psychotherapist,
motivational speaker for young teens and wife of current Tallahassee mayor John Marks; Ion
Sancho, Supervisor of Elections for Leon County; Nick Maddox, Leon County Commissioner;
and Scott Maddox, former mayor of Tallahassee and 2003 Chairman of the Florida Democratic
Following the show, VIP ticket holders will be invited to an exclusive casting party where they
will eat, drink and mingle with the stars.
General admission tickets are available for $30. A limited number of VIP tickets will be sold for
