Flexible working Employees who are parents of children aged under 6 or parents of disabled children aged under 18 have the right to apply to work flexibly. The employee must have worked for the school for 26 weeks continuously at the date that the application is made and have parental responsibility for the child. Only one application can be made in a twelve-month period. There are certain criteria that need to be satisfied when an application to work flexibly is made.
