PRESS RELEASE 13th August 2012:
Fishstock Brixham 2012 on Saturday 8th September has now booked an amazing line-up of local talent

With gates opening at 10am, entry £5, accompanied under 15s free, the musical extravaganza begins at
1100 on the main “Coombe Fisheries” sponsored stage with “The Storm” from Kingsbridge with their
mix of jolly salt-encrusted tunes, many written by the lads from the S Hams.
On the acoustic stage things kick off with well-known local duo Southern Comfort, who have been
delighting lovers of good music throughout S Devon.
Other bands new to Fishstock on the main “Coombe Fisheries” stage are “Jessica and the Rabbits”,
“Empire of Fools”, Duke Johnson and the Scorchers and the amazing youngsters of “Hysteria”, aged

Headline act, sponsored by local fishing business owners Dave Langdon & Alex Philip, is “Sax-
Appeal” based in Dartmouth. This well-known and highly polished 5-piece band will round off a
fabulous day by playing 2 X 45minutes sets ending at Midnight, when Fishstock Brixham 2012 comes
to an end. Between the 2 sets the crowd will go wild for the Fishstock Brixham regulars “Kalash ATS
Belly-Dance” troupe from Exeter, who also perform earlier in the day. Kate Jackson and her “Brixham
Bollywood Belles” will also once more provide great entertainment and dance lessons.
Other acts on the acoustic stage in the maritime themed area on the North Quay include show regulars
Maggie Duffy & Mike Weed, Dave Johnson, the “Old Gaffers”, who like the Storm are also from
Kingsbridge, “Swashbuckle” and that young-at-heart rocker from Dartington, Ian Hunt who once
played with Johnny Kidd & the Pirates. Ian will also display for sale a fantastic range of guitars that he
fashions himself. Each is unique and a thing of beauty.
New acts to appear on the acoustic stage are “Banned from the Moor” based in Widecombe, Brixham
