							                                JOB DESCRIPTION


Job Title:                     Finance/Administration Officer

Responsible To:                 Deputy Director

Hours:                           35 Hrs (Mon-Fri)

Salary:                         £22,000 per annum


Main Responsibilities

       To be responsible for the daily financial running of the
        organisation, computerised and manual, in accordance with
        Footprints Women’s Centre financial procedures

       To line manage and supervise the work of the finance worker
        and the administrative assistant.

       To be responsible for budgets and returns for funders, within
        the funders requirements, providing forecasts and timely
        revisions as necessary.

       To be responsible for monthly/quarterly budget meetings with
        Project Leaders and management team, providing up to date
        information and support for budget management.

       To be responsible for compiling progress and financial reports
        for Board of Directors and Centre Director.

       To prepare project costings for funding applications as
        required.

       To manage cashflow.

       To assist in the preparation of all statutory returns to the
        appropriate authorities.

       To process computerised monthly                        payroll      and   ensure
        compliance with legal requirements.

       To maintain staff absence records

       To prepare for and facilitate audit visits from funders and the
        organisation’s accountants.

       To be responsible for Fixed Asset register

       To liaise with insurers regarding claims and information

       To act as Pension Administrator

       To ensure that any tender/procurement process is observed
        according to funder requirements.



Other Duties/Responsibilities

       To develop and maintain contacts/relationships with all
        funding bodies and other relevant organisations.

       To attend training as necessary.

       To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required
        by the Board of Directors.

                    Personnel Specification

                                      Essential

Qualifications / Experience

EITHER          A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role plus
                Institute of Accounting Technicians or equivalent
OR              5 years experience in a similar role.

Together with:

      Two year’s supervisory experience in similar role

      Excellent computer skills demonstrable in both Sage and Excel

      Excellent verbal and communication skills with experience in
       reporting

      A Commitment to, and an understanding of the ethos of
       Footprints Women’s Centre


                                      Desirable

Qualifications
   A management qualification


Experience
   Knowledge and experience of the Social Economy Sector

       Experience and understanding of the community/voluntary
        sector

       Experience in the private business sector
