               Sustainable Water Solutions at a Global, State and Company Level

Will Sarni, Deloitte Consulting LLC

Will has been providing sustainability, environmental and hydrogeological consulting services to private-
and public-sector enterprises for more than three decades, with a focus on developing and implementing
corporate-wide sustainability strategies, as well as broad based climate and water programs. His unique
approach fuses the practical with the creative in actualizing high-value sustainability programs and
integrating diverse business and technical issues related to resource management. Sarni’s diverse client
list includes Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations and non- governmental organizations
(NGOs). He has managed complex projects throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, working with
some of the world’s most recognizable companies.

An internationally recognized thought leader on sustainability and corporate water strategies, Sarni is a
frequent speaker for corporations, conferences and universities, as well as a columnist on sustainability,
climate and water for Harvard Business Publishing’s “Leading Green,” Venture magazine, Sustainable Life
Media and Earth & Industry. He is the author of Greening Brownfields: Remediation Through Sustainable
Development and Corporate Water Strategies, and contributed to Environmental Regulation of Colorado
Real Property (Bradford Publishing).

Gary Bostrom, P.E., Chief Water Services Officer for Colorado Springs Utilities

Gary Bostrom has more than 30 years of experience within the water services industry in a variety of
leadership roles from water supply acquisition, water and wastewater infrastructure planning and
engineering, and fostering regional collaboration and partnerships. Gary was instrumental in the
development of the Arkansas River Exchange Program, the 1996 Water Resource Plan and Southern
Delivery System permitting process. He is a Director for the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy
District, the Past President of the Fountain Valley Authority, a Director for the Aurora-Colorado Springs
Joint Water Authority, and a Director for the Homestake Steering Committee. Gary served as president of
the Twin Lakes Reservoir and Canal Company, the Lake Meredith Reservoir Company and the Lake Henry
Reservoir Company. Water projects in Colorado require a tremendous amount of regional collaboration
and cooperation.

Bill Carter, Project Manager for Aurora Prairie Waters Project, CH2M HILL
Mr. Carter has 20 years of experience executing and managing water treatment facility projects, from
concept through design, construction, and startup. He has also served as a senior technical consultant,
identifying and correcting deficiencies in existing facilities. His experience covers many treatment
technologies, including conventional and sand-ballasted sedimentation; granular media and membrane
filtration; and chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, and UV. Bill holds MS, Environmental Engineering and BS,
Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Stacy Smith, Conservation Specialist, Denver Water
Stacy manages commercial customer outreach programs, which provide audits and retrofits for
commercial buildings and multi-family properties. Denver Water commercial customers are eligible for
rebates and incentive programs, however many are just learning about these programs. Her work
includes partnerships with Mile High Youth Corp, Xcel Energy, NAIOP, Watts to Water, BOMA. Stacy is
LEED Accredited Professional, and has worked on several LEED projects. She is co-chair for the
education committee of the USGBC Colorado chapter. Stacy earned a BS in environmental sciences from
University of Colorado and continued education from Colorado State University and University of
