    Chapter 2 Getting to Know the Mobile Phone
2.1 Voice Service
2.1.1 How to turn off the ring without hanging up the incoming call?
      Tap Silent on the right corner of the screen.

2.1.2 How to adjust volume during a call?

      Press the Volume key to increase or reduce the volume.

2.1.3 How to answer or reject a new incoming call during a call?

      The call waiting service should be subscribed and then during a call, a new incoming call
      will be prompted. Tap       , and then tap Options, select Answer to receive the new
      incoming call and the original call will be held. Select Reject to reject the new incoming call
      and continue the original call.

2.1.4 How to make a new call during a call?

      During a call, tap     , and then tap Options, select New call to dial the new phone
      number.

2.1.5 What are the requirements when making an emergency call?
      Under the network coverage, you can dial an emergency call even when the mobile phone
      is locked, has no SIM card or cannot register itself on the main system. However, it cannot
      be guaranteed that you can make an emergency call on all conditions. You should not rely
      solely on the device for essential communications.

2.1.6 How to record during a call?

      During a call, tap     , and then tap Options, select Sound recorder to record the call.

2.1.7 How to enable the DTMF function during a call?

      During a call, tap     , and then tap Options, select DTMF to turn on/off the DTMF
      function.

2.2 Phonebook and Call Log
2.2.1 How many contacts can be stored maximally?

      The number of contacts depends on the capacity of the SIM cardÿ 500 in phoneÿ .

2.2.2 How to view the memory status of the phonebook?

      Select       Phonebook Options Phonebook settings            Memory Status to view the

      Missed calls: 20

      Dialed calls: 20

2.3 Message
2.3.1 How to view or configure the SMS center number?

      The function is used to store the number of the SMS center (please consult the network
      operator). Messages can be sent only when the number of the SMS center is correctly
      configured.
      Select     Message Message settings Text message Profile settings to enter the
      service number provided by the network operator.

2.3.2 How to change text input method during writing messages?

      On the text editing screen, tap     to select the input method.

2.3.3 Can MMS or other multimedia functions be supported?

      Yes.

2.3.4 What is the capacity of SMS?

      Depend on SIM card storageÿ 500 in phoneÿ .

2.3.5 How to view the remaining memory status for the SMS?

      Select     Message Message settings Text Message Memory Status to view the
      memory status of the SIM card and the phone.

      When the alarm rings, tap Snooze to extend the alarm clock. Select    Alarm Edit to
      set the alarm, such as turn On/Off, Repeat, Alarm tone, Snooze(min),Alert type.

2.4.4 Does the mobile phone support FM function?

      Yes. Insert the earphone and then select        FM radio.

2.4.5 Does the mobile phone have camera and video camera?

      Yes.

2.4.6 Does the mobile phone support Bluetooth? How to perform it?

      Yes. Select         Bluetooth   Power(On) to enable the Bluetooth.

2.4.7 Does the mobile phone support Wap?
      Yes.

2.4.8 Can the Ebook be supported?

      Yes.

2.5 Security Settings
2.5.1 How to configure the power-on password?

      Select          Settings Security Settings Phone security Phone lock.

2.5.2 How to do if the mobile phone prompts to enter a password when
powered on? If the password is forgotten, what to do?
      There are three passwords: phone code, PIN1 code and PIN2 code.
      Phone code: provided by the mobile phone manufacturers. The preset code is 1234 and it
      can be changed.
      PIN1 code: provided with the SIM card.
      PIN2 code: unchain the SIM lock caused by wrong PIN1 code.
      When the password is forgotten, contact the relevant equipment provider or service
      operator.

2.5.3 How to lock and unlock the mobile phone quickly?

      In standby mode, press power key to lock the screen and keypad. When the keypad is
      locked, slide       to    to unlock the mobile phone.

                         Chapter 3 Maintenance
3.1 Battery
3.1.1 How long the battery should be charged for the first time? How long is
the maximum safe duration of continuous charging?

      The first charging should be at least 12 hours to achieve the optimum effect. Do not charge
      the mobile phone for over 24 hours continuously.

3.1.2 What are the factors that affect the standby time of the battery?

    a. Calling, activating the back light, and playing games will consume more battery. As the call
       time increases, the standby time will be shortened.
    b. The performance of the battery varies with the changes of the charging state, temperature,
       local radio signals and state of the back light.

3.1.3 How to clean and maintain the battery?

     Clean the battery with a piece of dry cloth and take damp-proof measures.

3.2 Mobile Phone
3.2.1 Operating environment of mobile phone

    a. Use the mobile phone in the temperature range of 0°C to 40°C and the humidity range of
       35% to 85%.
    b. Try to use the mobile phone in a place away from the common land line phone, TV set,
       radio, and office automation equipment so that the operating effect of the mobile phone will
       not be affected.

3.2.2 How to clean and maintain the mobile phone?

    a. Do not use a needle, point of a pen or other sharp object to press the keys. Otherwise, the
       mobile phone will be damaged or disoperation will be caused.
    b. Prevent dampness, water or other liquid from entering the mobile phone. Otherwise, it may
       suffer from over-heat, creepage and other faults.
    c. Use a piece of soft dry cloth to clean the mobile phone, battery and charger.
    d. Do not use such solution such as ethanol, thinner or benzene to cleanse the mobile phone.
    e. Before inserting or removing the SIM card, please power off the mobile phone. Otherwise,
       the memory of the SIM card may be damaged.

3.3 Charger
3.3.1 Operating environment
      Do not charge the mobile phone in the following places: place exposed to direct sunshine,
      outdoor place with a temperature lower than 0°C or higher than 40°C, place with excessive

      dust or strong vibration (which may lead to faults), and place near the TV set, radio and
      other electric appliances (which may affect the image and sound effects).

3.3.2 Precautions

    a. Please use the AC specified by the charger. Using other voltage may lead to creepage, fire,
       and damage to the mobile phone and charger.
    b. It is prohibited to short the charger. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock, smoking and
       damage to the charger.
    c. Do not use the charger in the bathroom or other places with a high humidity. Otherwise it
       may cause electric shock, fire and damage to the charger.
    d. To unplug the connector, please hold the charger. Pulling the power cable may damage the
       cable and cause electric shock and fire.

3.3.3 How to clean and maintain the charger?

    a. Please do not use it in the bathroom or other places with a high humidity. Likewise, avoid
       exposure to rain.
    b. Use a piece of soft dry cloth to clean the mobile phone and charger.
    c. A socket with stain or dirt may result in poor connection, power-off and charging failure.
       Please clean the socket regularly.



           Chapter 4 Common Faults and Repair
4.1 SIM Card Identification Failure
     Ensure that the SIM card is correctly installed. Check the SIM card and the mobile phone for
     other possible faults, and if the problem remains, please contact the network provider.

4.2 “Out of Service” or “Network Problem”
     Check the signal indicator. If there is no network coverage, you may be in an underground
     place or the network dead zone.

4.3 Poor Sound Quality
     Hang up and make the call again. The network service provider may transfer you to another
     line with a better quality.

4.4 Shortened Standby Time
     Under weak network coverage, the mobile phone searches for signal for a long time. Please
     power off the mobile phone temporarily. Or the battery is used for a long time or the life cycle
     of the battery will come to an end shortly. Replace the battery with a new one.

4.5 Message Transmission Failure
     Please check the setting of the SMS service center number. It is also likely that you have not
     activated the SMS. Or the SMS recipient is invalid. Or the local network service provider
     does not provide this service.

4.6 Charging Failure
     There are three possibilities. Firstly, the charger works abnormally and you may contact the
     repairer or dealer specified by the company. Secondly, the environment temperature is
     improper and you can change the charging environment. Thirdly, the connection is improper
     and you may check the connector of the charger.

4.7 Failure to Add Contacts
     The phonebook may be full and you can delete some useless contacts of the phonebook.

4.8 Failure to Perform Some Functions
     These services may not be subscribed. Or the local network service provider does not
     provide the services. Please contact the repairer and dealer specified by the company or
     network service provider.
