Family and Consumer Sciences
This course is designed to promote self-awareness, leadership, and development of skills needed to
achieve personal goals relating to family, home, career, and community. Students will explore Family
and Consumer Sciences (FACS) topics using a computer based lab as well as experience hands-on
Early Childhood Education
Food, Nutrition, and Wellness
Consumer and Finance
Family, Community and Leadership
Students will acquire fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for success in any of the career
pathways offered at our feeder high schools.
Student Responsibility/Class Rules:
Respect self and others.
Follow ET Booth school rules.
Keep work area neat and clean.
Folder with prongs and pockets --- the folder should contain at least 30 sheets of paper. Students are
Responsible for having their folder in class every time we meet.

Block 3 - Yellow
Block 4 – Green
In addition, students will be required to pay a $5.00 lab fee. If for any reason a student will not be able
to pay this fee, please have your parents notify me in writing.
Please review this information with your child and sign indicating that you have read and understand the
expectations of the FACS program. Students must return this syllabus signed as soon as possible.
Students will not be able to participate in a food lab until both the syllabus is returned and their lab fee
