Who Are Your Preschool Staff? Trained and competent leadership is one of the keys to
Extensions Preschool! Our Extensions Director works closely with the Extensions staff to
coordinate and supervise lesson planning. Staff members are carefully selected for their
maturity, skills and enthusiasm to work with your children. Each staff is a trained, caring,
responsible person with your children’s best interest at heart. All Extensions staff successfully
pass a drug, criminal background screen and reference check prior to working. The staff
receives a general orientation and additional training in their field. Extensions also has staff on
site who is First Aid and CPR certified at all times.
What should my preschooler bring to school? Each preschooler needs a resting mat, which is
at least 2 inches thick. Please bring a travel size pillow, crib sheet, and a small blanket to rest
with. These items will be sent home every Friday to be cleaned and need to return Monday.
Each preschooler needs to bring a complete change of clothes including socks and underwear to
be left at school for accidents. An immunization record and physical from a doctor is required.
No school supplies are required, Extensions supplies all supply materials yearly; however,
donations are always greatly appreciated. Extensions is not responsible for any possessions that
are lost or stolen. Please do not bring toys or other personal items from at home, unless it is for
our Show N’ Days.
What Should My preschooler wear to school? Preschoolers are required to wear closed-toe
shoes and socks daily. We encourage you to dress your child in old, comfortable clothes in which
they are ready to play hard and get dirty! Dress to get messy.
What Happens If My Child Is Ill? If your child is becomes ill, we will utilize the contact list
you provided upon registration. Should your child require medications while at school, we must
have a completed medication form: medication must be in the original container for the person it
was prescribed, with the dosage for that day only. The parent or guardian must bring in the
medication and give it to the Director. For the safety and well-being of all of our children,
Extensions cannot serve children while they have symptoms or an illness including a fever of
100º or above.
