Course Objective                to familiarize students with the institutions and practice of
                                public administration in Canada at the local, provincial or
                                territorial, and federal level, as well as at the level of
                                Aboriginal government; analysis of the institutions and
                                processes of the public sector in Canada; develop the skills
                                necessary for intervention in those processes or institutions

Course Contents                 theoretical introduction, demonstration of analysis on cases
                                chosen by professor, analysis of case studies at the levels
                                and types of government in Canada. Case studies are
                                selected in collaboration with the students.

Course Method                   Problem-based learning; experiential learning; ability-based
                                learning; action analysis of dynamic processes of public
                                sector; assessment and contribution of theory to the practice
                                of government and the role of various political actors.
