The study of psychology provides an avenue for increased understanding
and insight into one's own behavior and the behavior of others. The BA in
psychology at AUP provides students with knowledge of the central
developments and issues in psychology. Moreover, the student acquires
knowledge of and experience with the scientific methods used to gather
and interpret data relevant to psychological issues. The acquisition of
empirical, analytical, and inferential reasoning skills, and experience in
communicating effectively about psychological topics in both written and
oral form are important aspects of the program. The core courses and
upper level courses provide a broad and in-depth exposure to the main
content areas and applications of the discipline of psychology. Knowledge
of how culture influences behavior is emphasized in the program. It is
integral to all courses, for example in understanding inter group relations,
differences in pain perception, differences in development or cross cultural
differences in memory.

to graduate school, GRE results etcetera
