Monitoring (NHM) Courses
Organized by the
Accident & Emergency Medicine Academic Unit, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong

USCOM and Pacific Medical Systems

These courses will provide health care workers with an understanding of
cardiovascular physiology and the skills to use non-invasive haemodynamic
 monitoring to improve patient care.

The Basic Course gives participants the basic knowledge and technical competence to
acquire haemodynamic data using the Ultrasonic Cardiac Output monitor (USCOM).

The Advanced Course addresses the advanced needs of clinicians who need to know
how to acquire and interpret USCOM-derived data in complex scenarios and use it to
 improve patient care.
