What Is The Title II Grant?
The OJJDP Title II Grant is a federal formula grant from the Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile
Justice Delinquency Prevention, aimed at ensuring States comply with the Juvenile Justice
Delinquency Prevention Act of 2002, while working to reduce delinquency among youth throughout
the State.

What Will This RFGA Fund?
This RFGA will fund programs in five program areas:
      1. Delinquency Prevention
                     a. Life Skills
                     b. Targeting at-risk girls
                     c. Mentoring
                     d. Parenting skills
      2. Alternatives to Detention (for delinquent youth)
      3. Deinstitutionalization of Status Offenders
      4. Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC)
      5. Mental Health

Who Is Eligible to Apply For These Funds?
      Local units of government
      Non-profit agencies (501)(c)(3)
      Any combination of the above
      Native American Tribes that have been recognized by the Secretary of the Interior and have
       law enforcement capabilities.

Total Amount of Available Funds
Based upon approval of funding, the estimated total amount of funding available for this Request for
Grant Application is $800,000 dollars.

Proposed Timeline
February 8, 2010           Notice of Intent to Issue a Solicitation/Fact Sheet available to the public

March 2, 2010              Pre-application conference, beginning at 10:00 a.m. (MST) at the State Capitol,
                           Executive Tower, Grand Canyon Room, 1700 W. Washington, Phoenix, AZ.

                           W. Washington, Suite 101, Phoenix, AZ by 3:00 pm (MST)
