THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
Security & Integrity Officer – 21 hours per week to be worked flexibly.
To advise, manage and report on all aspects of the Scottish F.A.’s Security and Integrity responsibilities
ensuring that a safe and secure environment is provided for the National Teams and Supporters. Lead on all
matters relating to suspected match fixing regarding the prosecution of corrupt, or criminal practices affecting
football, monitoring disciplinary proceedings and coordinating all relevant actions. Lead and develop a
programme of education to promote ‘best practice’ in order to combat match fixing.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To advise and manage the safety and security arrangements for all SFA Matches, carrying out risk
assessments and providing planning advice as appropriate in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for
all relevant stakeholders.
To liaise effectively with all relevant parties involved in the safety and security of football events both nationally
and internationally, including but not exclusively FIFA, UEFA, the Scottish Executive, the Home and Foreign
Offices, NCIS, foreign football authorities and supporters groups, to ensure a safe and friendly environment for
To liaise with Hampden Park Ltd., and any other safety certificate holder(s), on all safety and security matters
for all matches played at Hampden Park under the auspices of the SFA ensuring all matters are dealt with
efficiently and effectively.
Lead on all matters relating to suspected match fixing regarding the prosecution of corrupt, or criminal practices
affecting football, monitoring disciplinary proceedings and coordinating all relevant actions.
Organise educational programmes for players, referees and coaches as part of an effective preventative
strategy to combat match fixing.
To lead and coordinate the Association’s submissions to national policy making bodies as appropriate in all
matters relating to Safety and Security in football.
To work with the Scottish Executive, Sportscotland and other relevant parties to maintain, develop and promote
positive campaigns on anti-racism and anti- sectarianism, and any other national initiatives as appropriate.
To manage the operations and staff associated with the security of the Association offices, liaising with
Hampden Park Ltd., and Association staff, and participate as a member of the Hampden Users Group in order
to ensure a safe and secure facility is maintained at all times.
To manage the Association’s Health and Safety Management System ensuring compliance with all relevant
health and safety regulations liaising with the Association’s Health and Safety advisors as appropriate.
To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be delegated from time to time commensurate with this post.
