Dear Parents, Physicians, and Teachers:
Wouldn’t it be great if there was ONE facility in Columbia County, where children with special
needs could go for developmental therapies (OT, PT, Speech) without having to drive to
downtown Augusta hospitals?
Wouldn’t it be even better if their families could also access supportive counseling to help cope
with the stress of parenting these challenging kids---all in the same family-friendly facility?
The solution has arrived! We are Susan Stallings-Sahler and K. Hunter Sahler, and we have
opened a unique pediatric rehabilitation and family counseling center centrally located in
Martinez, which offers the highest quality intervention programs for special needs children and
K. Hunter Sahler, LCSW, ACSW is a Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience
in counseling individual children and adults, as well as couples and families. Susan Stallings

over 30 years of experience treating infants, and children with complex neuro-developmental
disabilities, including autism spectrum, ADHD, and more severe neuromuscular problems such
as cerebral palsy. Dr. Sahler has worked as a clinician, professor, and researcher in some of
the most prestigious teaching hospitals in the U.S., and is an invited lecturer to health
professionals both nationally and abroad.

convenient location, with highly trained, caring and experienced clinicians, sharing efforts in a
collaborative, fun atmosphere that your patients will love!
Please examine our complimentary packet, which provides you with information, not only
about our clinic, but includes a “Physician’s Toolkit” with handy, informative Referral Forms
for pediatric rehabilitation/counseling; and tips on screening for developmental problems which
often go undetected until critical periods for specialized interventions may have passed.
Reference lists will help to keep you informed about Evidence-Based Practice regarding
pediatric rehabilitation approaches with various special needs diagnoses.
We believe strongly in maintaining a consistent stream of communication with our referring
physicians, to keep them apprised of the child’s progress and any observations which we feel
need to come to your attention.
We would be happy to interview with you and your staff in your office at time convenient for
you. We also invite you to visit our facility in Martinez. We can be contacted between the
