  POSITION SUMMARY: Describe the general purpose of the job or why the job exists.

  Responsible for management of the Operations and Maintenance staff at site. This position insures a safe
  work environment, compliance with all governing regulations and optimum performance of the equipment and
  the people.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: List the principle on-going responsibilities that are necessary to accomplish
  the purpose of the job.
          Direct, supervise, and evaluate Operations and Maintenance Personnel.
          Plan, schedule, and execute major maintenance outages on equipment and systems without
           interrupting production.
          Develop a maintenance plan, spare parts, and critical equipment policy for the entire site.
          Schedule equipment maintenance to minimize delivery interruptions.
          Assist Plant Manager to achieve company goals and objectives.
          Prepare maintenance budget and assume accountability for money spent. Reduce reliance on
           contractors and service personnel.
          Assist and actively participate in new company projects.
          Research, investigate and analyze equipment failure or breakdowns to reach the root cause of the
           malfunctions. Develop a plan and strategy to correct them.
          Ensure personnel are in compliance with all plant and company SOP’s.
          Create and maintain reports for upper management that provide a comprehensive analysis of all
           aspects of facility operations.
          Ensure facility is operated safely and establish preventative practices to continue to improve the safety
           performance of the site.
          Ensure site is in full regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
          Ensure adherence to operations standards and best practices for safety, environmental compliance
           and operational efficiencies.
          Implement process improvements for efficiencies, utility consumption, safety and environmental
          Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements.
          Expected to exhibit and demonstrate safe behaviors at all times and to perform job in a safe manner.

          Well developed interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a small plant environment.
          Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with
           all levels of personnel including executive management.
          Computer proficiency.
          Knowledge of computerized work order systems.

  QUALIFICATIONS: Describe experience, education and related course work typically required or
  expected to perform essential job functions.
          Bachelor-s degree in chemical, mechanical or environmental engineering or related degree.
          Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License preferred.
          5 – 10 years proven management experience.
          Plant management in industrial environment.
          Computer proficiency.
