POST TITLE:                    Data Information and Quality Assurance

1. BASE                        Women’s Aid Leicestershire Ltd, Leicester

2. SALARY                      NJC Scale 5 £19,621 - £21,519 per annum (pro

3. HOURS OF WORK               22.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday. Some
                               evenings and weekend work may be required from
                               time to time.

4. MAIN TASK                  WALL is recruiting to this new post initially for a 12
                              month period in order to assist the senior
                              management team with monitoring and evaluation
                              across the organisation to ensure we are able to
                              gather the best possible evidence of the impact of
                              our work.

.                              The post holder will input, collate and analyse data
                               from all our services and will shape the use of the
                               data both internally and externally.


To input, collate, analyse and develop data including database management
and data validation.

To prepare clear and coherent reports and presentations for internal and
external stakeholders.

To be responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, robustness and
timely production of all data reports as appropriate.

To liaise with the senior management team and other team members as
appropriate, to ensure that WALL data is understood and used effectively
internally and externally.

To ensure that any information shared whilst performing these duties is in line
with WALL's Data storage and collection protocols.

Support the wider work of WALL as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Setting up systems

•      Research best practice for monitoring and evaluating projects similar to
       those run by WALL

•      Propose the best methods of monitoring and evaluating generally, and
       establish a robust framework in line with funder requirements

•      Set up systems for storing and manipulating data on projects

•      Create a clear timetable for gathering data across the lifetime of
       projects, to coincide with reporting requirements for funders

Maintaining systems

•      To ensure accurate and adequate reporting of all relevant project

•      Ensure data and reports are gathered timely and accurately

•      Collate robust and clear quarterly impact reports for funders

Demonstrating impact

•      To work closely with the CEO to demonstrate the impact of WALL’s

•      Create reports that can be run at any time that will show us the impact
       we have had

•      To undertake any relevant data processing and statistical analysis on
       projects and provide reports to senior managers, Board of Directors
       and stakeholders

•      To inform the evaluation methods, data collection tools, statistical
       analysis and reporting methods used across all our projects, to enable
       us to demonstrate our impact as an organisation

•      Proactively look for ways to improve existing projects and identify
       potential new projects

Line management relationship

Post holder will be line managed by the Chief Executive
