Wireless Control of a Robot Using FPGA
Abstract:
Today, research in intelligent machines and robots is
conducted very widely and we foresee a wide scope for this
area in the next few years. The applications are used in search,
industries, space and terrestrial operations. Discrete logic
devices (VLSI or SSI), programmable devices (PALs or PLDs),
and Masked Programmed Gate Arrays(MPGA) or Cell-Based
ASICs are the most commonly used devices for these intelligent
machines.
FPGAs offer a much less expensive, re-configurable chips
that can implement thousands of gates of logic in a single IC.
Using this new concept and technology, this project is to design
a more efficient and less risky system - wireless control of a
robot.
