JOB TITLE:                 PROCUREMENT DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS
                           ADVISER- Community/Social Enterprises

RESPONSIBLE TO:            CHIEF EXECUTIVE- HBDA

PURPOSE OF POST:           To Develop and co-ordinate the Implementation of the
                           Upper Lee Valley Community Enterprises Tender to Win
                           Programme

TERM:                      18 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT

SALARY:                    £25000 to £28000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To co-ordinate the Community Enterprises Tender to Win Programme
working closely with the LDA, Nichols Consortium and strategic partners.

2. Provide CETTWIN consultancy, advisory and training support to the owner-
managers of Community/social enterprise in accordance with objectives, targets and
criteria in liaison with the chosen consultants and training providers.

3. Maintain accurate records, which give accurate information on the project and
post holder’s activities and to make periodic reports to the Chief Executive and the
Government Office for London as required.

4. Undertake and participate in research in relation to tendering development issues,
training and support for CSEs

5. Co-ordinate and manage the CETTWIN database and with developing a small
business client base with support from administrative staff as agreed with the Chief
Executive.

6. Participate in meetings, conferences and promotional activities, which may be
required in advancing CETTWIN implementation interests.

7. Achieve agreed objectives and performance targets, which will be set and
reviewed quarterly or as appropriate.

8. Seek actively, ways to carry out the post’s purpose and to improve performance
through training or other personal development. In the event of difficulties the post
holder will consult with the Chief Executive.

9. Take responsibility for developing and managing the CETTWIN marketing and
promotional activities.

10. Work flexibly according to the needs of the CETTWIN project and the host
organisation and undertake such duties as may be required.
11. Work with consultants appointed for the project and co-operate, and support
all research and development work in connection with the project.

12. Comply fully with the necessary Quality Standards / Procedures including
Customer First, Investors in People and ISO 9001:2000 and maintain these
standards in the delivery of the CETTWIN` project.

13. Provide the general business advice and support as may be required from time
to time.

    14. To undertake such other duties as are consistent with the basic objectives of
        the post and are determined by the Chief Executive.
