                   ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF
                                INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT
Authority:             This position reports to the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.
General
Responsibilities:      This position is responsible for the daily administration and front-office operations
                       of the Office of Institutional Advancement and the Corning Community College
                       Development Foundation (CCCDF).

Essential Functions:
 Organize, schedule, and coordinate all meetings of the CCCDF Board and Board Committees.
   Collect and coordinate agenda items; prepare and distribute agendas and other relevant materials
   for each Board and Committee meeting.
   Attend Board and Committee meetings; prepare support materials and meeting minutes for all
    meetings. Follow-up as required.
   Provide administrative support to the Executive Director in the areas of scheduling,
    technical/computer support, information handling, and budgets.
   Prepare profile reports on donors/prospects by cross-referencing paper files and database records
    from Raiser’s Edge. Schedule meetings with community members and donor prospects.
   Prepare and edit correspondence and trip reports.
   Contribute to the database operation, including data input and management, report generation, and
    the handling of confidential information.
   Collaborate with various college departments focusing on increasing alumni involvement and
    advancing all fund-raising activities.
   Manage planning and implementation of select special events. Take the lead in organizing
    reunions, homecomings, and other alumni-related activities with objective of increasing alumni
    participation at all events.
   Work closely with donors, alumni, community members, and volunteers to support the efforts of
    Institutional Advancement and the CCC Development Foundation.
   Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Required Skills:
 Computer literate, including proficiency in MS Office products and other software systems
   Relational database experience; Raiser’s Edge preferred
   Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication, organizational, and administrative skills
   Availability to work flexible hours and nights/weekends, as needed
   Ability to communicate diplomatically with internal and external constituencies
   Ability to work independently, handle/protect confidential material, and exercise discretion in
    decision making
   Project planning/event planning organization skills, such as the ability to multi-task and prioritize
    work
   Professional presence

Minimum Qualifications:
 Associate’s degree (bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education and work
   experience
 Three years of successful related administrative work experience
