Next open Meeting-28th March 2012 at 7pm

Patients are encouraged to attend this meeting. These meetings enable the

Our speaker will be the local pharmacist, on ‘Useful tips in using Medications’

Recent named GP survey

We thank all the patients who participated in our recent survey.
 The findings are as follows:
The survey covered between 40-60 consultations with each GP and around 275
consultations in total. The survey was completely random, neither patients nor
doctors had forewarning of when the questionnaires were going to be distributed.
Moreover the survey has the advantage of being up to date, having been carried out
in the last three months of 2011.
A six page report has been presented to the Partners. The outcomes demonstrated
much good practice among core aspects of consultations. For example 92% of
consultations were considered excellent or good. Effective listening to patients
concerns ranged from between 95-100%. Clear explanation of issues raised between
92-100% and a high proportion were addressed effectively and fully, between 88-
100%. Clearly there is scope to improve further by advancing the performance nearer
to 100%. Stockwell Lodge are committed to this continued improvement.
Around 35% of respondents also made additional comments on their consultation
with the named doctor. The substantial majority of these were very positive. Others
raised issues which should be considered and addressed. The report sets out all of
these comments, they have been brought to the attention of the Partners, and they
will give feedback on all aspects of the report to the Forum meeting on the 21st
February.
The Patients Forum believe that this has been a really useful exercise, and welcome
the very positive response from the Practice.
