The largest Food Forum took place at “ITE Siberian Fair” the International Trade and Exhibition Center on December,
1 – 4. The event combined three Specialized International Exhibitions: “FOODSIB” – exhibition of foodstuffs,
equipment and technologies, raw materials and ingredients for food industry; “PLASTEX. SIBPACK” – exhibition of
tare, package, label and equipment for packaging industry, raw materials, plastic and rubber production and
processing technologies; “SIBLOGISTICS” – exhibition of transport, customs and logistic services, warehousing
technologies and equipment, lifting technique.
272 companies from 30 cities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Austria, Germany, Italy, South Korea participated in this
Sergey Semka – the Chief of the Development of Industry and Entrepreneurship of Novosibirsk Region, Larisa Ivanova –
the Deputy Chief of Food and Processing Industry Department took part in solemn opening ceremony of the Exhibition.
Mr. Semka noticed that growth in the food sector helps to steady related markets like manufacturing of package and
equipment, freight traffic activity.
The exhibition proved once again the status of the largest Food Forum of Siberian Region. It is focused on food and
beverages, technologies, advanced processing equipment, raw materials, ingredients for food industry.
162 companies participated in the FOODSIB. The sector of technologies and equipment for food industry was a
significant part of the exhibition.
85 exhibitors of the SIBPACK introduced packaging equipment, machines and materials for production of packages and
labels, marking and labeling; cardboard and paper packages, tare, services of packages and labels manufacturing.
PLASTEX exhibition was held in Siberian Region for the first time. It was represented by six Austrian companies, four
German companies and one Italian company. The exposition showed extrusion lines and molding machines for wide
range of production – from ampoules and tubes to bottles and wide-mouthed containers for drinks, cosmetics, etc.
Dmitry Serbulov, sales manager of TEXTIMA company (Germany), said that Siberian Forum is the real opportunity to
strengthen company’s influence in the region.
SIBLOGISTICS main profiles are transportation services, warehousing equipment and customs services, cargo insurance.
This year the exhibition has gathered 25 participants.
“Logistics centers of Siberia” round-table conference was a platform for discussing important points of the logistics
sector in Siberia like: changes of freight traffic market in economic crisis; what measures are taken for freight traffic
increasing in Siberia; what can be changed after signing of an agreement between Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus;
customs control; etc. Conference participants were representatives of Administration of Novosibirsk Region, the
Siberian Customs, specialists of insurance and consulting companies, top-managers and owners of transportation
High profile events of the exhibition’s business program were “Logistics centers of Siberia” round-table conference;
“Creation and improvement of quality system for dairy products manufacturers; “Siberian retail congress”. Numerous
degustations, workshops and training seminars for specialists were organized within the framework of the Forum.
The Exhibition was officially closed on the 4th of December with the “Golden medal of ITE Siberian Fair” award.
About 4300 visitors from 94 cities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kirghizia attended the exhibition. 70% of visitors are
from Novosibirsk Region; 25% - other cities of Siberian Federal District; 2.6% - central part of Russia (including Moscow
and St. Petersburg); 0,9% - Far Eastern Federal District; 0.7% - Ural Federal District.
Visitors by business sectors: 47% - engaged in production, 33% - engaged in trade sector, 1% - catering sector, 3% -
engaged in logistics. 41,5% visitors – directors, 25% - top-management, 33% - managers, marketing professions.
