Tenant Advisory Groups (TAGs) Workshop
Induction and networking Day
The TAGS have been established over a year now
and there have been several new members. It was
decided to introduce an induction for new members
to meet other residents involved and to network .
Everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Resident Involvement – Next Steps Workshop
Involved residents attended a workshop to explore the
idea of a new Scrutiny/excellence Panel for Roddons.
They enjoyed the day at The Boat House, Wisbech. There
were exercises, workshop and networking. Those who
attended discussed and put forward views on how the new
Group should work.

TRA N NG – WANT TO JO N N? It’s fun, confidence building and can be a pathway to employment so
would you like to attend? Courses as follows:-
4th November – SCRUTINY What is it? – On a TAG or want to be involved further
25th November – BUILDING CONFIDENCE – for anyone who needs a little help.
16th December – MAKING MEETINGS WORK for Chair, Secretary, Treasurer or participant
All training is FREE to Roddons Residents. Contact Sally Taylor if you wish to book a place 01354 660789 –
transport can be arranged, costs for mileage and childcare or other associated expenses will be paid.
The first TENANTS CONFERENCE – Saturday 6th March 2010 at The Boathouse, Wisbech.
If you are interested in attending you will need to register as places will be limited - further details of this event
will be advertised in the Winter edition of Home Matters.
1. Update on Housing issues
National Tenants Voice – The National Tenants Voice is an independent body that is
being set up by Government to enable social housing tenants to influence key national policy areas
throughout England. If you are interested and wish to volunteer contact www.hays.com/jobs/ntv or
telephone 0800 917 7396. CLOSING DATE for applications is 16th October 2009.
Customer Profiling This is very important for Roddons to have information on their tenants to held
them provide services for the future. Roddons have currently obtained just over 90% .
Estate Inspections The Neighbourhood Officers are carrying out estate inspections on a regular basis
– would you like to be involved? Let us know and we will get your Neighbourhood Officer to contact
you with times and dates so that you can voice any concerns you have about your area and see what
we can do to improve it…
Roddons Rewards The April winners (all won £250 each) were: Mr Sullivan 9 Springfield Road - Mr
& Mrs Stych 14 Council Road - Mr & Mrs Hickling 6 Woodgate Road and Mr Venni 135 Wimblington
All tenants of Roddons are entered into this draw automatically and just have to meet the criteria that they
have rent paid up to date and looking after their home. Good Luck to everyone for the next draw!
