You do NOT need to register again. This webinar will address the Access Discrepancy Report process which is part of the Data Validation process. Dr. Calderón will share strategies to build language skills in K-5 ELLs and move them toward English language proficiency. The webinar room will be open from 3:00 – 5:00 for set up and Q&A. See SIOP Team attachment for details on expectations and team make-up. There is no registration fee for this workshop. Travel expenses are the responsibility of participants. DPI will not reimburse for substitutes or for travel. It is suggested that participants work with their school or school district to cover the cost of travel (mileage, lodging, meals) and substitutes. The request to participate registration will be available online soon. a) ESL Data Retreat at the McKimmon Center, Raleigh A four-day Data Retreat will be offered in two, 2-day sessions: July 12-13 and August 9-10, 2011. b) Three concurrent ExC-ELL trainings August 2-4, 2011 on the Campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte 1) A three-day institute for secondary teams (grades 6-12) on Expediting Reading Comprehension for English Language Learners (ExC-ELL) . 2) A three-day institute for elementary teams (grades K-5) on Expediting Reading Comprehension for English Language Learners (ExC-ELL). 3) A three-day follow-up training for participants from the August 2009 or August 2010 Literacy for English Language Learners (ELLs).
