Internet Explorer Browser Settings for CCC pages:

Kenexa Recruiter’s Corporate Career Center pages are compatible with a number of browsers. One of
the most popular browsers candidates use is Internet Explorer (IE). We have found through our
research that Internet Explorer 8 (IE 8) has made changes to its settings that are different than its other
versions of browsers that may cause some confusion for candidates.

Below is some helpful information if you receive some questions from candidates while trying to apply
online to your career center.

Because of security measures taken by Internet Explorer, it will prompt you, asking if you want to see
secure and unsecure items on a website (also called, “Mixed Content”). The default security setting for
IE 8 for displaying mixed content is set to prompt. If candidates do not receive the popup security
warning when clicking through the site it means that they already clicked “Yes” or have their mixed
content disabled.

In previous versions of IE the dialog was worded in such a way that users would click on the Yes button
to allow non-secure content to be downloaded, however, the wording in the IE 8 version of this dialog
has changed so that now in order to view the mixed content and load the entire page they need to click

If they had clicked yes or their mix content is disabled, the page may not load any of the images and the
dropdowns will not function correctly. After enabling the mixed content, the candidate would want to
refresh the page and there should be a noticeable difference in the page from what they had seen

This also occurs with IE 9 in which case if they switch the compatibility mode it should fix this issue.
When changing the compatibility mode please make sure that the candidate waits for the page to
completely reload before exiting to ensure that it switches.

To enable mixed content for your browser:

 1. Go to Tools->Internet Options->Security

 2. Select the ‘Security’ tab

 3. Click the ‘Custom Level’ button

 4. In the ‘Miscellaneous’ section change “Display mixed content” to Enable
To change the compatibility mode for the browser:

 1. Go to Tools->Developer Tools (F 12) ->Browser Mode

 2. Select “Internet Explorer 7”

 3. Wait for the page to reload

 4. Click file then exit, the page should refresh back to the job search page and the dropdowns should
now appear on the profiler page.
