Spectrometer for determination of internal conversion of gamma-rays
S. V. Chenmarev
In this paper we used a spectrometer optimized for measurements of ICC on the basis of
semiconductor high purity germanium detector with a thin beryllium entrance window, which
allows registration of X-rays, gamma-rays and electrons.
Measurement of a total gamma and beta spectra and pure gamma-ray spectra without
electrons, with cut-off with an aluminum filter in front of the entrance window was carried
out.
As a result of the experiments, data were obtained, from which we calculated internal
conversion coefficients αK and K/L for the transition of 661 keV Cs-137, αK in 121.8 keV
transition in Eu-152 and αL on 59.5 keV transition in Am-241.
The obtained values within the error limits correspond to the theoretical values of the ICC is
nice-to-energy conversion of data and multipolyties for the corresponding charges of the
daughter nuclei, the values given in the table from L. A. Sliv.
