Week 1

Read the entire book of proverbs through in one sitting. (Sign off on your first assignment)
Do a BRI (No historical method)
Do Week 1 topical study

Instructions for Topical Studies

1. Take time to read through the passages given for each topic. Think about what the wisdom is and what
the author is saying.
2. Define at least 3 Biblical Truths.
3. Give at least one other reference from outside of Proverbs that would support or expand on the Biblical
Truths. Give one or two sentences on the biblical Truth from this reference.
4. Two domain options will be given to you each week form the list below. Choose one of the domains to
focus on.
 Government
 Arts & Entertainment
 Church
 Business
 Science & Technology
 Family
 Education
 Communication (media)
5. In each area there are many ways that you could look at it. Think about the different aspects of that area
and then pick one to discuss. You could choose a current event, situation you've been in, a hypothetical
situation or include a news article from a magazine, newspaper or the internet.
6. For your domain & situation ask the following questions and record your thoughts:
1. How are (would) the specific areas (be) affected by NOT WALKING in the Biblical truth?
2. How would walking in the Biblical truth make a difference or change things? You can pull in other
Biblical passages that would back up your discussion.
3. Think about how your culture compares to the Biblical truth and record your thoughts.

you only have to look at one aspect.
