                DEFINITION
 You use a possessive pronoun to show possession or
  ownership. These pronouns must agree in gender
  and in number with the nouns they describe.

 In English, these pronouns are my, your, his, her, our,
  your (plural) and their.

 The difference between English and French is that
  these pronouns in English do not care if the noun is
  masculine, feminine or plural.

 My mother (feminine), my father (masculine) and my
  siblings (plural)

 Son, sa and ses can mean his or her. The
  pronoun agrees with the item owned, not
  the owner.


 C’est le chien de Paul. C’est son chien. (his
  dog: dog is a masculine word)
 C’est le chien de Marie. C’est son chien.
  (Her dog: dog is a masculine word)
           ATTENTION!!!
 We use mon, ton or son with a feminine
  noun that begins with a vowel.


 Son amie. (Her friend)
 Mon école. (My school)
 Ton épée. (Your sword)
