Customer Service Controller LVMH P&C responsible for Guerlain, Givenchy & ADP (May
’04-July ’04). Job role as below but with increased responsibility across 3 companies and
a larger team of 6.
Customer Service Controller Guerlain (Feb.’01-Apr.’04). Managed a team of 4. Role
included: overseeing the receipt and processing of orders from UK retailers, as well as
credits; overseeing the shipment of orders from our French distribution centre to the UK
stores; coordination of the various parties involved (transporters/ warehouses) to ensure
an efficient supply chain; overseeing the management of consumer complaints; setting
up and maintaining clear procedures for use within the dept.; introduction of the SAP
system into the dept. & managing all staff training; working closely with other companies
within the LVMH group to identify synergies and centralise operations where possible;
reporting of customer service levels and out of stocks; constant liaison with internal
Marketing and Sales depts as well as external retailers; use of French language as
required.

ROSEDALE HOUSE Business Centre, Richmond, Surrey
Sept. ‘99 – Feb. ‘01

Business Centre Manager. Responsible for total operation of Centre. Role included:
maintaining 100% office occupancy where possible; recruitment and management of
staff (2 x direct reports); monthly invoicing; administration services; operation of digital
ISDN Intertel telephone system; organising necessary maintenance and repair work;
overseeing the purchase of equipment and supplies; introducing new initiatives to
maintain competitive edge; responsibility for health and safety.

L’ORÉAL UK FACTORY, Llantrisant, South Wales (Cosmetics/Toiletries)
Apr. ‘95 – Mar. ‘99

Factory Transfer Co-ordinator (May’98-Mar.’99). Logistics Dept. Purpose was to assure
the smooth transfer of production between European factories to achieve the long-term
economic gains of product specialisation. Responsibilities included: co-ordination of
internal factory departments in preparation for transfers; keeping international and UK

Marketing departments aware of developments; liaising with Paris centrally regarding
progress; communication with all European factories to plan transfers.
Logistics ‘Launch Manager’ (Sept.’96-Mar.’99). Co-ordinating the production for a new
product launch and overseeing finished goods’ stocks to guarantee excellent service
levels to both UK and export customers. Role involved: frequent management of
meetings with both internal factory departments and with Marketing divisions;
planning/prioritising of production from customer orders and forecasts; project
management; staff management (1 x direct report); overseeing component stock levels
which included negotiations with key suppliers.
Management Trainee (Apr.’95-Sept.’96). Experience gained: use and interpretation of
MRP and component schedules within Logistics dept.; supplier contact; assisting a
Marketing Brand Manager; project work within the Quality Assurance department –
Finished Good and Component ‘Quality Contracts’ and ISO9002 quality procedures.

‘JET PROGRAMME’, Japan – English Teaching
Jul. '92 - Jul. '94
Taught English at a rural junior high school and was responsible for Internationalisation
at both school and community levels. Acquired conversational and basic written
Japanese language skills (Level 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test ), plus
understanding of local customs, all of which have been maintained via regular contact
with old friends in Japan.
